It’s time to say goodbye to the wonderful little Carry. As I noted when the Wagon All-the-Rs reappeared it’s just not feasible for me to run three cars long term and, truth be told, the super-practical work that’s kept the Carry busy up until now has slowly been petering out…

That’s not to say I won’t miss it when it’s gone. It’s given me so much joy, from the most exciting purchase of a vehicle I think I’ll ever experience to a smile-a-minute recreation of all those offroading keitora videos I have saved in my YouTube playlist. Most of all though it’s helped me to do what thousands of its brothers and sisters help their owners to do all over Japan: Just Carry It.

Here’s to a joyous celebration of utility. From industrial vacuum cleaners and cement mixers to ornamental willow trees and Smeg fridges… and all the little tip runs and Christmas tree hauls inbetween. What a ride. What a car.
