Once upon a time something big had punched a hole through the headlight glass, making enough of a mess to go down as an advisory on the last MOT.
I was considering some sort of localised repair until I noticed the headlight silvering had all but disappeared as well; a small crack and more silver loss on the other headlight made persevering with the current setup pretty pointless. Instead I picked up a brand new pair of Autopal-branded headlights via eBay and – no pun intended! – the difference is night and day.
